A beautiful antique Bavarian porcelain dish by Paul Müller Selb, decorated by Richard Wehsner, dating to around 1890–1910.
This is a wonderfully decorative piece with an unusual organic shape, a large open handle, hand-painted floral decoration inside and out, and elegant gilt detail throughout. The white porcelain body is of very fine quality, and the decoration features charming Saxon bouquet floral sprays with green garland accents and a richly gilded border.
Its asymmetrical outline and sculptural handle make it especially attractive for display, while the generous size also allows it to be used as a serving dish, fruit bowl, or centrepiece.
A lovely addition to a collection of antique German or Bavarian porcelain, and an eye-catching decorative object in its own right.
