John Moyr Smith was a prominent artist of the Aesthetic Movement, also known for his work on Minton’s celebrated Shakespeare tile series, making this set highly desirable to collectors.
Description
Each plate is beautifully decorated in brown transferware and features an elegant pierced (reticulated) border, typical of high-quality Minton production of the period.
All plates are marked with the impressed “Mintons” stamp to the underside.
