We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Masonic rings were worn by members of the Freemasonry fraternity as symbols of identity, allegiance, and moral commitment. During the Victorian era, these rings frequently incorporated traditional emblems, such as the square and compasses, engraved directly onto gold signets.

Late Victorian signet rings were commonly crafted from 9ct or 15ct rose and yellow gold. The metal was often solid, providing a durable surface suitable for hand-engraving crests, initials, or fraternal iconography.

Authentic late Victorian pieces usually bear British hallmarks indicating the purity of the gold, the assay office mark, and a date letter corresponding to the year of manufacture. The presence of hand-engraved detailing and period-accurate rose or warm gold tones also aids identification.

Antique signet rings are versatile accessories suitable for daily wear on the pinky or index finger. Their warm metal tones allow them to be worn individually as a focal piece or stacked alongside contemporary gold bands.

To maintain 9ct gold, clean the surface gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth or toothbrush. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasives, or ultrasonic cleaners, and store the item in a fabric-lined box to prevent surface scratching.
