This fabulous antique cockerel weathervane which is hand made of copper dates from the 18th century and would have originally sat at the top of a village church spire.This French coq du clocher (rooster of the bell tower) which has a round head and large wattle has a beautiful aged patina with lots of charming age related wear and gun shot holes which all add to this decorative piece.Comes mounted on a later black painted wooden display stand and would make a wonderful statement piece.Materials: Copper.
