A superb and intricately worked **pair of Japanese Cloisonné enamel vases**, dating to circa 1900 during the **Meiji period (1868–1912)**, attributed to the renowned Kyoto master **Takahara Komajiro (?????)**.

Takahara is widely regarded as one of the leading makers of **Kyoto Jippo (Cloisonné)**, establishing his workshop in 1894 and producing some of the finest enamel work of the period.

Description

These finely crafted vases demonstrate an exceptional level of workmanship, with **extremely delicate wirework (cloisons)** forming intricate designs, in places as fine as 1mm in width.

Each vase features richly detailed decoration including:

* **Floral motifs**: Sakura cherry blossom, lotus, chrysanthemum, anemone, and peony

* Traditional **‘takara-mono’ (treasure objects)** within decorative roundels

* Striking **overlapping green scale patterning**

* Gilded wirework and jewelled enamel highlights

The elegant **eight-lobed form** further enhances the complexity of the design, with the enamel work carefully applied across each curved surface — a testament to the technical mastery of the maker.
