The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The reserves all double framed in gilt, and the blue ground over-gilded with half-sunburst flowers, large, feathery foliage and speckled dots. Finished with a gilt rim. Unmarked, c.1800-1810.

It measures 21.6cm (8 1/2") wide and 2.5cm (1") high.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear. The underside has some fine glaze bubbling around much of the edge from firing, and some small erroneous splodges of underglaze blue as is often found on Coalport of this period.
