Superb Old Sheffield Plate Egyptian Revival Samovar Tea Urn C1810

Description

This wonderful Old Sheffield Plated samovar or tea urn dates to c1810 and is in the Egyptian Revival style. Decorated with sphinx motifs, lion heads and paws and ladies heads this is a great looking piece. With a tap marked for 'Patent' and with a bovine bone finial. With an internal chimney and small heating block. Tinned to the base.

In good condition with a slight patch of copper bleed near the spout and some age spotting to base. Slight misshaping to one handle.
