A centrepiece of spectacular scale: a ~19.00-carat octagonal step-cut natural peridot.
The peridot is housed in an intricate, open-work "trellis" frame of interlocking knots, densely encrusted with antique rose-cut and old-mine-cut diamonds.
Weight: 9 grams.
Dimensions: 1.25 inches | 31.75 millimetres (3.175 centimetres).
Construction: Silver-topped 14K Gold (traditional Imperial Russian technique).
Hallmarks: Struck with the 56 zolotnik gold mark and the Cyrillic '??' (KF) maker's mark for the House of Carl Fabergé.

The cream Moroccan leather shows a natural, aged patina consistent with a 100-year-old object.
The gilt-tooled "dentelle" (lace) border remains remarkably bright and intact around the circumference of the lid.
