Royal Worcester Blush IVory Shell Dish With Gilt Edge And Floral Sprays – 1900

£235    $315    €270
A Royal Worcester Dish modelled as a large scallop shell. The porcelain is finished in a warm blush ivory tone with softly shaded colour that pools in the moulding. The rim is gently undulating and picked out with fine gilt, giving the piece a lifted, elegant outline.

Hand-painted floral sprays in pinks, blues, and greens are placed within the shell’s interior for a light, refined effect. A small shell-like knop and sculptural shell feet create a raised display form rather than a flat serving plate. Marked for Royal Worcester, dated 1900.

* The shell form gives this piece a naturally theatrical presence even before you notice the painting.

Measurements:

Height: 4'' (approx. 10cm)

Width: 8'' (approx. 20cm)

Depth: 7 1/2'' (approx. 19cm)

In good condition – The dish presents well overall with only light signs of age and handling consistent with a decorative porcelain piece. There are no chips or cracks to the porcelain.
