High quality English antique solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1875 with the maker being HL over HL. They have been superbly made and engraved with the crest of the Robbins or Robyns Family and the initials RMR, you should be able to use these initials to find out which Robbins family was wealthy enough to have owned these back in the day. They are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 9 inches (22.8cms) long by over 1.25 inch (3cm) wide and they weigh 177 grams. Super quality interesting examples.
