Description

Early C19th William IV period circular rosewood lamp or occasional.

A smart rosewood table of practical scale and proportions and uncomplicated design . The circular top with shallow recessed frieze below, raised on a facetted tapering column support with a carved collar to the base . The tri-form platform base raised on compressed bun with carved detail , each with an original concealed brass castor beneath for ease of movement.

In excellent original condition, the figured rosewood top having achieved a pleasing lightly sun-faded mellow colour and bearing a slight ‘shadow’ probably from the positioning of a flower vase .
