An exceptionally rare and refined Italian Neoclassical commode, masterfully veneered in warm walnut and enriched with elegant marquetry throughout. Its architectural silhouette rests on square tapering legs, supporting three long drawers arranged with classical harmony.

The upper drawer, slimmer in profile, is conceived as a continuous frieze, while the two deeper drawers below are executed senza traversa—a seamless façade uninterrupted by structural divisions showing a simulated panel centred by a delicate marquetry medallion, a motif echoed on the sides of the piece. Using a "paint with wood" technique, master craftsmen used slivers of various exotic wood, to create those stunning central and to sides floral medallions.

Crowned with its beautiful original marble top, this commode exemplifies the sophisticated craftsmanship of Northern Italy, particularly the Lombardy–Milan region, during the late 18th to early 19th century.
