Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated these Georgian Mahogany Chest Drawers to the 1800s.

The piece is arranged with two short drawers over three long graduating drawers, all oak-lined and traditionally made with hand-cut dovetail joints, indicative of quality craftsmanship from the period. The drawers retain a set of oval brass plate handles, featuring decorative detailing, which complement the simplicity of the form while adding a subtle point of interest.

Raised on shaped bracket feet, the chest has a clean, straight front typical of late Georgian design, making it highly versatile for both traditional and more contemporary interiors. The top is well-figured and of good colour, with minor age-related marks consistent with use.
