Newly upholstered in a spring green pure silk from the Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company (thickly woven from an original 18th century fabric pattern) and with double piped and button back original detailing.With anthemion and ribbon carving to the arms, fluted tapered legs with leafy terminals and lovely tied ribbon cartouche to the back, all indicative of a high quality 18th century maker and with some decorative elements in the manner of Thomas Chippendale.Photographs showing the complete and original frame prior to re-upholstery are available on request.A beautiful and elegant chair, solid, comfortable and usable.
