Description

A beautiful hand-made toy horse, dating from the early 20th century. It is very original and has clearly been well loved over the years. Much of the original paint remains and it has its original metal wheels and turned wooden handle with metal supports. It has a leather rein, complete with small bells and the remains of a red saddle cover.

Unusually, as well as being a push along horse, it also has rockers on the base so could be used as either.

It is in excellent playworn condition and displays beautifully. It is of course covered in knocks and scuffs and lots of signs of wear and use. The paint is faded and chipped, the saddle cover is worn and the rubber on the wheels has been replaced but this is what makes the piece so wonderful.
