Description

An Edwardian silver and tortoiseshell stirrup desk clip with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1902 and makers mark for Grey & Co. All three parts of the silver (clip, back mount and testing plate) are marked with the makers initials too. The tortoiseshell base is clever my designed in the shape of a horse’s hood echoibg the equestrian theme. The clip itself is a stirrup attached to the base with a buckle, all in silver. The hinge is strong and the clip holds the card or paper firm my in place. An unusual and interesting item, with equestrian theme, in excellent condition.
