A Gilt Bronze Porcelain Panel Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

A good quality French mantel clock of smaller proportions. Inset numbered porcelain panels to the gilt bronze case. Musical instruments to the pediment with a military hat. Floral swags to the base of rococo design. An enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and fretted gilt hands.

An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell marked Rollin of Paris. Also marked by the retailer 'Steverard Boulogne-S Mare'. Circa 1885.
