Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A caddy spoon is a short-handled spoon designed specifically for measuring loose tea leaves from a tea caddy into a teapot, becoming widely popular in Britain during the late 18th century.

These utensils were typically fashioned from sterling silver, employing hand-engraving, bright-cutting, and press-forming techniques to create detailed fluted shell bowls and patterned stems.

Authentic items feature complete British hallmark sequences, including the makers mark, sovereigns head duty mark, lion passant for sterling purity, and a date letter corresponding to the period.

Small silver tea scoops can be displayed under small glass cloches, arranged on decorative trays alongside barware, or integrated into a loose-leaf tea station on a dining sideboard.

Clean silver items gently using a soft cotton cloth and specialised, non-abrasive silver polish, avoiding harsh chemical dips that strip away natural patina and fine engraved details.
