The flagon has a tapering drum with flared base and incised lines above. There is a bold mid-fillet and fine incised lines below the collar, a flat lid with locating flange to the underside, twin-lobed thumbpiece, and solid curved handle.
There are no visible maker''s marks, the the flagon is identical in style to those attributed to William Eddon, London (fl.1690-1747), (PS3067),
Circa 1720-30.
There are no makers marks that I can find.
Condition:
good condition with a very lightly polished silver grey finish and some traces of light oxide. There are a few historic small dents to the drum and foot.
Repairs: There is an old repair to the underside of the lid where attached to the thumbpiece.
(The condition and old repair is reflected in the price).
