Condition: A few tiny spots that would benefit from being touched in.

Presented within its original subtle gilt slip which bears small losses.

Birmingham Artist George Clare was a well known for his fruit & flower studies.

He exhibited in 1864, 1866 & 1867 at the Royal Academy, he also exhibited at the British Institution & Suffolk Street. His was the father to still life artists, Oliver and Vincent Clare.
