Description

An exceptional set of 19thc Arts & Crafts design forged steel fire irons or fire tools c1870. Of some considerable weight, these forged steel fire tools comprise a coal shovel, poker and tongs. The Arts & Crafts design is present in the choice of steel as the material and in the shovel, with it’s concave oval, and the handles with their square and pointed tops. In excellent condition, and a rare find. The tongs weigh over 1kg and the poker and shovel together weigh 1.1kg.
