Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s is defined by geometric forms, bold symmetry, and a transition towards streamlined architectural structures. Rings from this era frequently featured platinum mounts set with multiple old-cut diamonds and fine millegrain detail.

Platinum was the primary metal of choice during the Art Deco period due to its tensile strength, allowing jewellers to create intricate, lace-like geometric settings without compromising durability. These mounts were typically set with old European or transitional cut diamonds.

Authentic 1930s pieces usually exhibit hand-carved millegrain edges, geometric wirework, and hand-cut diamonds such as old European or single cuts. They often feature specific hallmark stamps on the inner band indicating platinum purity or makers marks.

An Art Deco dress ring serves as a statement piece that pairs well with minimalist contemporary attire. Its geometric platinum structure allows it to complement both casual tailoring and formal eveningwear without clashing with modern accessories.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the stone settings. Store it separately in a velvet-lined jewellery box to prevent the diamonds from scratching other pieces.
