Description

A very unusual Arts & Crafts style Edwardian sterling silver box. Maker A. E Jones in a rectangular form with a domed hinged lid embossed with a commemorative tribute to an inspirational teacher. The interior has a dark blue velvet lining and the box has been embossed with a musical and allegorical detail around the body. Very good original condition without any holes to the embossing.

Maker: Albert Edward Jones, Birmingham

Date: 1911
