Peter Harris Clocks & Militaria has dated this Antique Percussion Pepperbox Pistol to the 19th Century.

The pistol retains its fluted six-barrel cluster measuring approximately 3 inches, with Birmingham proof marks visible on the barrel flats. The frame shows attractive period scroll engraving and is fitted with a chequered walnut bag-shaped grip and ring trigger guard typical of compact pocket pistols of the period.

A well-proportioned early pepperbox pistol of pocket size, measuring approximately 19 cm overall, remaining a pleasing and honest example of early multi-shot civilian firearms.
