Gill Coe Antiques & Interiors has dated this Victorian Landscape Oil Painting to the 19th Century.
Bromley studied under his father, the artist William Bromley (1816-1890), whose own grandfather, also William Bromley (1769-1842), had been a successful engraver, whilst two of Bromley's siblings, Valentine Walter Bromley (1848-1877) and William John Bromley (1858-1939), also went on to become artists.
He exhibited widely, including sixteen works at the Royal Academy, ninety-two works at the Society of British Artists, ten at the Royal Institute, previously the 'New Watercolour Society', and two at the Grosvenor Gallery. The painting measures 31cm x 26cm and is in very good condition.
