London City Antiques has dated this Victorian Silver Plated Candelabra to the 1880s.
The candelabra stands on a beautifully shaped base with richly cast scrolling decoration, rising to a tall tapering central column which supports four elegant sweeping branches together with a central candle socket forming a five light arrangement.

A particularly desirable feature is that the branches and sconces are fully detachable. This allows the piece to be used either as a grand five branch candelabra or converted into individual candlesticks, making it both decorative and highly versatile.

The elegant proportions, elaborate casting and impressive scale make this a wonderful statement piece for a dining table, sideboard or centrepiece display. Pieces of this size and presence are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
