Halliday & Rich, Bridgwater Fusee Wall Clock

An early Victorian fusee drop dial wall clock. A 12'' painted dial signed ''HALLIDAY & RICH, BRIDGWATER'' with blued steel hands. A lovely quality coromandel case with choice veneers. Mother of pearl inlaid case. A cast brass bezel surround. The original side carvings to the base with a pendulum window.
 
An 8-day duration fusee timepiece mechanism. Circa 1845.
 
Charles Halliday and James Rich of Bridgwater are recorded in A J Moores ''Clockmakers of Bristol'' book as working from 1839.
