Vintage 1.15 Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1950

Description

A wonderful vintage engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre is graded by HRD Antwerp as K colour and VS2 clarity. The stone is notably “spready” for its carat weight, presenting closer to a 1.40 carat diamond. The diamond is secured in a six-claw collet, with by delicate hooped detailing in the gallery. A pair of icy white baguette-cut diamonds flank the centre stone, leading to a slim platinum shank.

Accompanied a Natural Diamond Grading Report from HRD Antwerp.

Cut: Old European in the centre, with baguette cuts in the shoulders.

Colour: The centre is K. The sides are F.

Clarity: The centre is VS2. The sides are VVS2 to VS1.

Carat: The centre is 1.15 carat, with a further 0.40 carat (approx.) of baguette cuts.

Circa: 1950.

Size: M 1/2 (UK) or 6 1/4 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The diamond is 7.23 x 7.26mm and sits 5.4mm from the finger.

Weight: 4.61 grams.

Metal: Platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
