George II Stirling Silver Three Footed Cream Jug By George Campar Of London - 1755

Here is a charming little Georgian silver cream jug, sat on three feet , the main body with added repousse and chased decoration of scrolls and flowers, finished with a high double scrolled ''C'' shaped handle.
 
Made by George Campar of London (who was registered on the 7th November 1749), the jug stands 9cm tall to the top of the handle, and is 8cm from the tip of the spout to the far edge of the handle, and weighs 75g. It is fully hallmarked on the base bearing the crowned Leopard for London, Lion guardant and the date stamp ''U'' for 1755, and the curved ''G'' for Camper''s makers mark.
