Victorian Antique Silver and Glass Jam Jar, Chester 1896

Description

A very high quality Victorian antique silver and hobnail cut glass jam jar. Made in Chester in 1896 by James Deakin and son. The silver top is fully hallmarked in three places, the rim, the lid and the handle. It was retailed by the famous London jewellers J. Macmichael of South Audley Street. The silver and glass are in very good condition with no repairs. It is a very collectable piece of Chester silver and useable too.

Weight; 360 grams or 11.6 ozst ( including glass )
