Bushells Antiques has dated this Platinum Diamond Cocktail Watch to the 1930s.

The elongated oval platinum case is set with approximately twenty-four graduating brilliant-cut diamonds surrounding the bezel, enhanced by stylised leaf-form terminals at 12 and 6 o’clock set with a further six larger old-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds display lively brilliance and are accentuated by crisp milgrain edging and refined openwork typical of the period.

The off-white dial features black Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, and is powered by a Swiss jewelled lever movement. The bracelet is formed as a finely woven adjustable white gold mesh, stamped “18ct,” while the case is stamped “Platinum.”

A beautiful and wearable example of Art Deco high jewellery horology, combining practical function with refined diamond craftsmanship.
