A fine example of an early tipstaff , (also known as tipstaves, used in both ceremonial and official roles to represent the crown)...what makes this one really stand out , is that it is from the early 19thc and is made from lignum vitae and brass with the initials WR (for William 1V) and dated 1836 around the top brass rim and 32 around the brass base....it is in very nice condition for its age...a real collectors piece...!

English. C1836.
