Biography:
 
 
Born in 1861 in Liverpool, Ernest Bucknall was educated at Dulwich College. He studied art at Lambeth and at South Kensington Academies, where in 1876, he won the Queen''s Prize for Perspective.
 
 
He specialised in landscape painting in watercolour and exhibited at the Royal Academy of London*, the Royal Society of British Artists* and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
 
 
In 1919, he came to live in Gloucester Road, Bristol and was elected an Artist Member of the Savages at the age of 58. In 1924, he contributed to ''''Grouse'''' an article on the charms of English rural architecture. He died in June 19...
