Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1700s.
The sides of the box with burr veneers, before a moulded edge, as per the lid. The whole raised up on ball feet. The lid opening with the original lock and key, to an interior fitted with three drawers, held behind a rising keep bar.

Depth 13 inches, 33cm.
Date circa 1700.
