Regency Gilt Pier Glass

Description

A Regency Gilt Pier Glass.

With a breakfront pediment over concave moulding finished with a lower edge of lambs tongue decoration, holding a chinoiserie decorated panel of a man filling a barrel with fruits, in a garden with tea houses set amongst trees. The frame flanked by fluted column rising to leaf decorated capitals, the bases of the columns with ringed socles, and square plinths, meeting the concave profile lower moulding. The frame holding the original plate.

Width 15 3/4 inches, 40cm.

Depth 2 1/4 inches, 6cm.
