Description

An exceptional ebonised round centre table of impressive scale and striking design, richly decorated with brass inlay and fine detailing throughout.

The large circular top is beautifully framed with a rosewood crossbanded border, set with six inset brass stars and edged with delicate double brass stringing.

The frieze is further enhanced by a substantial encircling brass strap.

The top lifts from the base for ease of transport and is secured in position with brass table pins when assembled.

The base is supported by four turned columns leading to elegantly shaped legs with gilt moulded decoration, terminating in finely cast brass paw feet with concealed casters. Each leg is further ornamented with a decorative brass rosette.

A superb quality and highly decorative example and strong visual presence—ideal as a statement centre table.
