Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Flight Barr Barr Plate to the Georgian era.
Introduced at Worcester in the mid-1760s, this pattern became one of the factory’s most recognisable orientalising designs and remained in production into the early nineteenth century. The present example dates to the Flight, Barr & Barr period, circa 1820, reflecting Regency taste through its strong cobalt framing and refined gilding.
A “Flight Collection” label remains to the underside, relating to the collection formed by Howard Emerson Flight — Lord Flight — descendant of Thomas Flight, who acquired the factory in 1783. Portions of this collection were later dispersed through Bonhams and Toovey’s.

Condition
Excellent condition. No breaks, cracks or restorations. The enamels remain bright and stable with only very minor surface wear to the decoration, commensurate with age. Overall preservation is notably strong for this pattern and period.
