The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has an 11 jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 455,842 which dates it back to 1883. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
This chunky watch measures 59mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The case is in good condition for such an early piece, the odd minor mark and a hint of unevenness to the back but nothing too serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has three very faint hairlines, and small chips to the edge although the majority are covered by the bezel. Lever set hands… the minute hand is a period replacement.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
