Antique Stagshorn -antler Carved Brooch

There is something rather charming about this brooch, which is of significant size.

Detailed outer feathering and cross hatching
 
The two innner figurines , appear to be holding something and wearing skirts.. or kilts
 
Elizabethan hairstyles !
 
The rear clasp still has a locking mechanism in place and working
 
A superb original piece
