Rare Novelty English Cocktail Shaker in Figural Bell Form; Art Deco C.1930

Description

Always highly sought-after and perfect for any home bar, whether contemporary or traditional, this one fits in perfectly.

Made from silver plate, the top of the handle is where the Cocktails would be poured from. In turn the polished Mahogany clad portion also unscrews to mix the Cocktails, the strainer can been seen at the bottom of this wooden portion. This one is wonderfully charming as it also has a bell clapper so will "ring" when shaken; either full or empty.

The underside is clearly hallmarked for S.Ltd for the silversmith, Suckling Ltd., together with EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver / Kingsway Plate / Made In England.

Not to be missed, in excellent condition; 11 1/2" tall with a base diameter of 5 3/4".
