7” finely matted brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed John Witherston of Hereford. Crown spandrels, a mock pendulum, and a square calendar box above the 6 o’clock position.
Ebonised case, slightly smaller than standard, with finely cast handle, finials and feet. Glazed side windows, with cast brass, silk-backed sound frets just above the windows. Glazed rear door.
John Witherston is listed as working from 1700 to 1734.
