Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The drawers have original turned mahogany handles with fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The solid mahogany legs are very thick and sturdy, sitting on original brass casters.
The inset green leather top has a gorgeous patina with beautifully tooled edges, this has plenty of work space.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. The overall patina is quite heavy and full of character, there are various small marks and indentations remaining here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
