TallBoy Interiors has dated this 17th Century Religious Painting to the 17th Century.
This is an image well known through Religious art but the execution of this particular painting is extremely good. Mary, shown in the centre standing on a ball/globe with a serpent under her feet symbolises the 'triumph of holiness, grace, and divine power over evil, sin, and Satan'.

Without doubt this is one of the finest religious paintings I have had the pleasure to own. The condition is extraordinary and the quality is beautiful. One other element though that adds to this painting is the stretchered back. It has been re stretchered but with a solid walnut frame that has tension setters in the corners and within the central stretcher. All there to preserve the canvas. This will have been done at great expense, but has paid dividends as shown by the painting being in such good condition.
