George Hamilton Constantine 1878-1967.Sheffield painter of landscapes with figures and seascapes.He exhibited at At the Royal Academy and the Ealker Art Gallery,Liverpool.He did not need to exhibit his works widely as there was a steady demand from dealers here and New York.In the 1930d he became an assistant to Sur William Rothenstein who who was Professor of Civic Art at Sheffield University.Constantine became Director of the Graves Gallery in the 1950s. ‘ Harvesting ‘ signed watercolour,image size 17.5x25 cms,framed size 36.5x46 cms.One of a pair by the artist in stock.
