Antique 1.56 Carat Unheated Ceylon Yellow Sapphire Ring, Circa 1915

Description

An absolutely exceptional antique ring. The bright, daffodil yellow sapphire n the centre - certified by GIA as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) - “floats” within a lateral marquise set with fourteen eight-cut diamonds and six natural, blue sapphires. All the stones are set silver within a simple split rose gold gallery, leading to a slender band. Utterly charming and wholly unique.

Accompanied by a GIA report stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut: Round cut yellow sapphire, with round cut blue sapphire and eight-cut diamonds in the surround.

Colour: The diamonds range from G to K.

Clarity: The yellow sapphire is loupe clean. The blue sapphire are SI. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI1.

Carat: The yellow sapphire is 1.56 carat. The total blue sapphire weight is approximately 0.23 carat. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.52 carat.

Circa: 1915.

Size: Q (UK) or 8 (US). Free sizing available. This is a limit to how much this can be altered, so please contact us prior to ordering should you need this resized.

Measurements: The sapphire is 6.70 x 6.78mm. The head of the ring is 20.3 x 13.1mm and sits 6mm from the finger.

Weight: 3.14 grams.

Metal: 9k rose gold and silver. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
