I haven''t had such a lovely pair of ''andirons'' for a long time.....this fine pair came to me from a private collection and were made around 1740-50 ....they have brass uprights in the form of cabriole legs with ball & claw feet topped off with ''urn'' finials....they still have the original iron bar supports, which would have been too short to support logs, so it probably would have had a shallow wrought iron basket...very nice quality and in good condition considering all the domestic use they would have had.English C1740-50.Payment can be made by Bank Transfer , all you will need are my Bank Details, which I will send you or off line by Credit / Debit card ,..... e-mail or telephone your card details (long card number, expiry date and three security digits on the reverse of the card) through to me and I will do the rest .Please quote the Internal Reference Number to identify the item you are enquiring about....thank you.Height is 40.1cm (15.8inches)
