1900s Advertising Opaline Light

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare adverting opaline advertising light , for Buntings Ale which had a short trading life of only around 40 years between 1890/1930. Hand painted advertising over the milk glass and retaining its original copper gallery . This would have hung above the bar in the tavern where they would offered the Ale produced by Buntings .

The Uttoxeter Brewery Company was founded in 1829 by Thomas Earp and Edward Saunders. In the 1890’s the brewery was bought by Charles Bunting, but it had closed by the 1930’s.
