Description

Early 19th.c. oak Welsh cupboard dresser base or sideboard, Caernarfonshire c.1810. Top made from a single 18" wide oak board with a plate groove along the back edge and an applied moulding to the front and sides. Over six drawers and two cupboards (internal depth 16½"). Quite unusual to have working drawers rather than dummies in the centre on a dresser of this period. Attractively shaped door panels within a moulded surround, original brass swan neck handles and diamond shaped inlaid mahogany keyholes. Moulded trim and shaped bracket feet to the front. Oak panelled sides and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
