This George V silver thimble was made by the reputable Charles Horner and is dated Chester 1922. It is fitted in a gorgeous egg-shaped ormulu thimble case. The outer case chased all over with foliate scrolls and fitted with a suspension chain. The side with a thumb-piece opening to reveal the original interior fitted with pink silk and crushed velvet. So often, the interior of these holders are missing. This is a beautiful complete example.
