Description

A fine quality and impressive French boulle tortoishell mantel clock. Red ground with brass boulle inlay. A front fretted panel and to the sides with red backing. Rococo gilt bronze case mounts and surmounted by a cherub. A raised gilt dial with individual enamel numeral cartouches and blued steel hands.

An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell engraved by makers 'Vincenti'. Numbered pendulum and mechanism. Circa 1880.
